Our selection includes comprehensive panels for both men and women that assess over 100 biomarkers, targeted tracking panels customized to your unique biology, and focused tests for specific health concerns. We also provide introductory panels for those just beginning their health optimization journey. Don't see a specific test you're interested in? Contact our team, and we'll help you find the right testing solution for your specific health goals.

Do I need a doctor to order my panels?

Not at all! Sage works with your existing lab results—the blood tests you've already completed. Whether they're from last week or five years ago, your lab history contains valuable biomarker data Sage can help you understand. Simply upload what you have to start seeing your comprehensive health analysis immediately.

Where do I get my tests done?

We’ve partnered with Quest Labs to provide your blood draw and test results. Quest is the largest testing center in the country and offers many convenient locations in most markets.

How long until I get purchased test results?

The testing and results are fulfilled by Quest Labs. Typically comprehensive blood panels are returned in 2-3 weeks, but occasionally, some tests experience a couple extra weeks of delay.

How do I prepare for a blood test?
All Sage blood tests require a 12-hour fast immediately preceding the test. In addition to fasting, please:
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for two days before your blood test. Beginner weightlifters should refrain from weightlifting for at least 7 days prior to their Sage blood test.
  • Do not consume any alcohol for at least 24 hours before your blood test.
  • Avoid taking supplements within 24 hours of your blood draw.
  • Continue taking any medication as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Ensure you are properly hydrated by drinking extra water before your blood test.
  • Bring your printed lab slip and a photo ID with you to Quest Diagnostics.
Should I stop taking medications/supplements before my test?

Before your blood test, please check with your healthcare provider to determine if you should pause any medications you are currently taking. For those who take supplements regularly, discontinue use 24 hours before your blood test. If you are taking biotin, we advise stopping 72 hours before the test.

Can I test if I just donated blood?

Iron and hemoglobin (HGB) levels may take 6-12 weeks to return to normal after donating blood. While it is your choice when to schedule your test, please note that some red blood cell numbers may not be accurate if tested within this period. If you are donating only platelets, you may proceed with testing after seven days.

How often should I get blood tests?

To track your progress, set benchmarks, follow your personalized plan, and retest. We recommend retesting every three months to see how your biomarkers improve after implementing your recommendations. This helps you identify what’s working and adjust your action plan to reach new goals.

Changes in diet, activity, lifestyle, or environment can affect your blood test results, so it’s important to test regularly and base your action plan on current data. Regular testing also confirms if your health improvements are effective.

Can I exercise before getting a blood test?

We generally recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for 48 hours before testing, as it can temporarily affect some markers. This helps ensure your results accurately reflect your body’s usual state.

How will I be able to review my results? What tools are there?

Sage provides a valuable tool kit to review blood test results. This includes a testing range, an explanation of each test, what a high or low result means for you, as well as recommendations on how to improve out-of-range readings.

What is the normal range for fasting blood glucose?

The normal range for fasting blood glucose is typically between 70 to 99 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL). However, reference ranges may vary, and it's essential to consider individual health conditions.

What is blood glucose?

Glucose is a type of sugar derived from food and the body's primary energy source. It is transported through the bloodstream to various tissues. Your liver stores extra glucose which is utilized during times when you are not eating. Blood glucose levels are measured to assess how effectively the body processes and utilizes this important energy source.
